About Our Chapter
Across Canada, too many boys and girls do not have a bed of their own- or even a pillow – to sleep on. Approximately 2% of children in Canadian communities sleep on the floor or in the beds of their parents. Providing each child with a comfortable bed improves their sleep quality and restores dignity to families.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace Canada is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering bunk beds to children and families in need. Our organization is new to Canada and is fully supported by SHP USA. The U.S. team began building beds in 2012 and expanded to Canada in 2019 where interest has been high and new chapters are in formation in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba under the direction of the National Board in Sherwood Park, AB.
